Liptauer
A tasty spread from Austria
| INGREDIENTS
1 | packet of Chavroux goat cheese spread or (as a substitute) Philadelphia cheese |
1 | packet of curd-cheese |
1 | small onion |
1 | pickled cucumber |
1 tbsp | capers |
| mustard |
| paprika |
| milk |
| PREPARATION
Mix the goat cheese spread (or as a substitute the Philadelphia cheese with curd-cheese) and a little bit of milk until the spread is really creamy. Mince onion, cucumber and capers and mix them with the spread. Season with mustard and paprika (the spread should have a slightly rose colour) and refrigerate. Serve it as a spread on crackers, pumpernickel or black bread. Our wine suggestion: A glass of tangy, chilly rosé wine (the best would be Austrian Schilcher) or a young, lively Riesling.
