Bacon Wrapped Dates
This recipe is strongly suspected of being addictive!
| INGREDIENTS
20 | dates |
10 | thin smoked bacon slices |
| PREPARATION
Stone the dates and cut the bacon slices in halves. Wrap the dates with the bacon and fix them with half a toothpick. Heat a frying pan and fry the wrapped dates on all sides until the bacon turns crispy and is lightly brown. Serve hot as finger food. Our wine suggestion: A glass of tangy, chilly rosé wine or a glass of chilly Gewürztraminer. Our special hint: Just as addictive are bacon wrapped fresh fig halves. Simply wrap the figs and a small sage leaf in bacon and fry until crispy.
